The Cell Lab Quanta SC MPL is a multi-platform specimen loading instrument designed primarily for flow cytometry research purposes and general laboratory use. The main function of the instrument is to provide qualitative and quantitative measurement of biological and physical properties of cells and other particles and/or absolute counts. The MPL provides multi-platform loading capabilities to the Cell Lab Quanta SC flow cytometer. It accepts sample cups, well plates with 24, 96, or 384 wells, and a 24-position tube rack. The MPL provides sample agitation by shaking or aspirating and redispensing the sample. The Quanta SC MPL is an affordable easy-to-use benchtop flow cytometer for researchers interested in multi-color analysis to determine particle size and/or absolute counts, that permits the simultaneous measurement of fluorescence, side scatter, absolute counts and EV, based on the Coulter Principle. The main function of the instrument is to provide qualitative and quantitative measurement of biological and physical properties of cells and other particles.
The Cell Lab Quanta SC MPL system makes data acquisition and analysis fast and easy when retrieving large quantities of data generated by the System to automatically store runs into a Microsoft SQL Server database. The System contains two software packages: the Cell Lab Quanta SC MPL Data Collection and the Cell Lab Quanta SC MPL Analysis.
The System can calculate the concentration of a sample, as well as accurately measure cell volume. It can: r Accurately size particles using the Coulter Principle. r Measure up to 3 fluorescent dyes simultaneously. r Measure sample concentration. r Measure sample granularity using side scatter.
This flow cytometer has
two independent excitation light sources,
a 488 nm diode laser and HBO mercury arc lamp (UV). It can simultaneously measure electronic volume (EV) as a sizing parameter, side scatter (SS) as a granularity differentiating parameter, three independent fluorescence parameters and provide absolute counts. The combination of EV and fluorescence allows the calculation of new flow cytometry parameters: FC (Fluorescence Concentration) and FSD (Fluorescence Surface Density).

(there is only 1 defect that could be better: the connection from the vaccum bottle to the plastic tube is broken,  holds the tube in place as it should but someday, the plastic cap of the bottle have to be replaced- see picture)
