Sea Ranger Pilot Communicator Pc-8500 Scanning 5 Watt Handheld Marine VHF Radio. Condition is "Used", but in like new condition. My father was meticulous in his care for things. The adapter was lost; likely after I took possession. Cheap and plenty in the Amazon store to replace. I believe it would work. When I turned it on, for about one second, the LCD screen displayed text.
The manual says you can run it plugged in... So if you want to scan and broadcast on whatever this broadcasts on, you can sate your curiosity. Looks like it was a quality built electronic item, so with a gamble.  Good luck my friends! Bid early, bid often.
